From Monday, 4 August 2008, public transport fares in South East Queensland will increase by CPI 3.9% to support rising costs. There will however be improvements to the go card pricing structure, providing a minimum 20% up-front discount to users and an attractive frequent user scheme. The Ten Trip Saver tickets used on Brisbane Transport buses/Council ferries will also be withdrawn from this date.
